Learning Experiences 2023-2024

Harmonious Harvest

In this experience our key concept is performance. We will be building upon our learning in Year 1 and will be focusing on pitch, dynamics, duration, rhythm and tone. We will experiment with these concepts on different instruments. Our outcome is to perform using what we have learnt at our Harvest Festival.

There's no place like home

In this science experience, the children will be creating habitats for local wildlife within forest school. We will need to learn about the needs of different wildlife, in order to provide a perfect habitat for them to live in.

Motion and Motive

In this experience, we are focusing on the sculpture work of Alexander Calder. We will be learning about how to manipulate and join wire. We will also learn to draw and cut shapes accurately. Once we have learnt these skills, we will use them together in order to create our own sculptures in the style of Calder.
